Kratochvíle

A Renaissance chateau from 1583-89 built following the example of italian Renaissance villas for Vilém of Rožmberk. Gradually it became the property of Rudolf II., the Eggenberks and the Schwarzenberks. At the beginning of the 19th century it was turned into flats, from the middle of the 19th century it was used as a museum. Interiors decorated by murals house an exhibition of puppet and animated films.
